Stoneforge Chronicles is both an online discussion and news from the town of Kent, Connecticut. We feature local notes, pictures, video, and extended stories of both current and historical interest. We cover local issues, only limited by meeting coverage. Our site is enhanced by as many images of Kent as possible.
We endeavor to become an online newspaper in Kent in the footsteps of Ted Marks and his trailblazing small town publication, the KentTribune.com. When the KentTribune.com ceased publication, we all lost a great asset to our community. But, as Ted noticed, such an endeavor takes a community effort with good editorial support. So send news and stories our way; this is a community newspaper.
The site is maintained by John Mauer, a local resident for nearly 30 years. John has technical degrees in Physics, a consulting business in statistical modeling, and a passing knowledge of the government of the Town of Kent; he served on the Kent Board of Education and helped with the renovation project at Kent Center School.
Please become a part of this Town discussion. Please contact us with comments and suggestions as we grow and change. Thank you.
