Kent Seasonal Flu Clinic Announced

A seasonal flu vaccination clinic for Kent seniors and residents with underlying medical conditions will be held Monday, Dec. 14, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the Kent Town Hall, first floor meeting room. Due to limited quantity, participants must pre-register by calling Lesly at 860-927-1003 or Joyce, 860-927-4627. Insurance plans accepted are Medicare Part B, Healthnet, Connecticare, Aetna or Anthem Blue Cross. Participants are asked to bring a copy of their insurance card. The cost is $37 for those who do not have one of these insurance plans. Cash or check will be accepted. The clinic is sponsored by the New Milford Visiting Nurse Association and Kent Nursing Association in coordination with the Town of Kent.

Santa Comes to Town

On Saturday, December 5, 2009, the Holiday Festivities in Kent continue for the second weekend. We welcome Santa to Backcountry Outfitters for pictures 2:30 to 3:30 P.M. Following that, The holiday fun starts at the Fife ‘n Drum Restaurant, 53 North Main Street, at 4:30 p.m. for caroling, with Dolph Traymon at the piano. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served!! From the Fife and Drum, we parade down Main Street towards St. Andrews Church for our annual tree lighting at 5:30 P.M. There will be music and caroling before and after the tree lighting to maintain a wonderful Holiday Spirit.
